Identifying “core/common skills” that a Novice RCD Systems Focused IT professional should prioritize developing as they start their career. – Part 2
Discussion lead by: Betsy Hillery – Purdue, Brian Haymore – University of Utah
This month we will review the findings from the August Meeting – Identifying Requirements for Early Career PT/FT RCD Systems Focused IT. In the August meeting, we identified skills individuals should have in hand as they look to become professional RCD Systems Admins. This month’s meeting will focus on understanding what “core competencies” and expertise a newly hired Novice RCD Systems Focused IT professional should develop. Some ideas to think about in advance:
- What skills, outside of “core competencies,” are most important for your organization?·
- What skills and attributes would likely result in this newly hired professional achieving a high level of success in the work environment and recognition by the team and management?
